Hi there My boyfriend and I purchased one today. its a little spider-ling:) I just wanted some tips on how to start off with one. I am petrified of spiders but I can see my self growing fond of Little Orion(^^,)we at this moment have a glass cage for it with this sand the pet shop gave us and we are feeding it little crickets twice a week. this is what we have been told to do. I would like to know Is there anything we should know or tips about this spider?? this is all we have for it. I dont want to be a bad parent to this spider so im trying to find out more about it.

Hi Briana,

The substrate used in the second picture is Zoo med Excavator Clay; its a very good substrate.

The last picture is using Reptile Carpet.

Hope That Helps.

I'm planning on getting a juvinile leopard gecko and am leary about using sand but want a natural look, what is used as substrate in the pictures on this site. I am gonna use paper towel until he is six months old. Any advice?

That first picture is not a Chinese Water Dragon "Physignathus cocincinus" That picture is of a Green Iguana "Iguana iguana". They are not from the same continent and do not eat the same foods. If they are confused with each other that is a fatal mistake.
